8 Months Old!

Guess who?  Yep, it's Abigail again.  It's time already for my next monthly post.  I am 8 months old today and as you can see in the following pictures, I gave my Mommy a hard time when she was trying to take my frog picture.  I don't know why she expects me to leave the paper alone long enough for a picture.  She should have learned by now, but I bet you $10 she tries it again next month.  Mommies are so crazy!

Here, Mr. Frog, eat this.

Check out my two teeth I'm flashing.

Oh, watch the eye!

Let me get a little taste of this.

This sign is hilarious!

Mommy just took the paper away from me ... I'm definitely not going to give her a smile now.

What!  I'm how old?

This is what I think of Mommy's sign!

This model is calling it quits.  Photo shoot officially over!

This month I've been working on my reading.  Mommy and Daddy read to me and I love looking at the books.  I get impatient sometimes and end up snatching the book from them and chewing on it for a little bit.  The words taste just as yummy as they look!  As a courtesy, here is my Public Service Announcement for this month: Do not give me any type of book that has paper pages unless you want several pages to be ripped to shreds and the others to have bites taken out of them.  Actually, you're probably safer not to even try to read those to me at this point.  It's just a waste of time because I will tirelessly attempt to get my little hands on that paper to work my destruction magic.  Same thing goes for my Mommy's grocery lists.  What does she think will happen when she holds the list right in front of my face as she's pushing the grocery cart?

Aunt B let me and Mommy go to the pool with her one day this past week.  I love my little pool out on the back deck, but this thing was AWESOME!  My first experience in a real pool was so fun.  Thanks Aunt B!

Here's another shout out to my Aunt B.  She gave me this cool pacifier a while back and I wouldn't cooperate when she was trying to take my picture with it. (I'm sure you're all surprised by that.) Mommy finally caught me with it.  I don't think I'll ever forget, but this will help me always remember that Aunt B loves me.  Love you too B!

Mommy, Daddy and I are headed to the lake this week with the rest of my Hunsberger family.  I'm so excited and have been looking forward to this all summer.  I'll be doing a lot of relaxing by the pool like you see below and will try to get my parents to update the blog while we're there too.
See you next time for my 9 month post.
Love,
Abigail

Here's the proof

As mentioned in an earlier post, Abigail thoroughly enjoys the Johnny Jump-Up these days.  It's been a great tool to use in order to tire her out just before nap times.  Aunt B loaned us her flip video camera for a little while so we were able to catch the jumper in action.  Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Livvy Loo!

Our niece, Olivia, celebrated her first birthday this past week.  I remember this time last year as Olivia made her grand entrance at record speed before any of us could make it to the hospital (and almost before her parents got there too).  We were so excited to attend her birthday party last Saturday and had a great time enjoying hamburgers and cupcakes.

Sharing her first bite of sweets with her big sister.

Could that little expression be any cuter?!?!

Uncle Chad stealing a picture with the birthday girl.

Alicia and I accidentally dressed alike, but used the coincidence for a photo opportunity.

Abigail also got to swing for the first time and really enjoyed Olivia and Madison's cool swing set.

She did not, however, enjoy sitting in the grass for pictures.  Unfortunately Abigail did not want to cooperate in getting a cute picture of the three Hunsberger cousins.  Hopefully we'll have better luck in a couple of weeks when we go to the lake together.

Thanks for inviting us to your party Olivia.  We had a great time.

Jump Around, Jump Jump, Jump Around

Abigail has been a jumping machine for the past few days since Uncle Christopher and Aunt Jennifer sent over the Johnny Jump-Up.  She loves it!  She will bounce so long that she gets out of breath, but doesn't want to stop either.  All the exercise may work to decrease some of the leg rolls she's got going on.  Here are a few pictures of her excitement with the new toy.

Abigail's not the only one jumping around...this blog post is too.  We spent the Fourth of July holiday weekend in Atlanta with Chad's parents.  It was a nice, relaxing weekend and we all enjoyed visiting together.  We even squeezed a family picture in before we left.

Me-Mommy and D-Daddy got in on the picture-taking action as well.

Abigail showed D-Daddy how much fun her toys can be.  This picture looks like she is saying, "Give me some skin D-Daddy!"

Once we returned home, Abigail ended the long weekend by catching up on her reading.  She's so advanced!

Do I have something on my face?

We had an unusually messy lunch time today at our house.  I'm not sure what got into Abigail, but she decided to smear her food all over herself and her high chair.  After each spoonful I gave her, she would stick her hands in her mouth covering them with food and proceed to wipe them all over herself.  Needless to say, we headed straight to the tub for an impromptu bath.  At least she knows how to enjoy a meal.
